Metropol Parasol in Seville, Spain by Jürgen Mayer

We visited Seville, Spain last weekend and stumbled upon the still unfinished Metropol Parasol designed by Jurgen Mayer. The crazy pavilion is located in the heart of the old city in the Plaza de la Encarnación. I was curious if construction was still continiuing before we visited the site (because there hasn't been much blog activity recently about the project), however it seems that construction is still moving ahead (slowly). Anyway, here are some photos of it at its current state...

Marble Pavilion in Zaragoza, Spain

While visiting Zaragoza, Spain a few weeks ago we discovered a tourist information pavilion which used thin marble panels for the exterior facade, which were backlit at night creating an amazing effect. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the designer of the project. Anyone know?

It's official, designlabworkshop is moving to Barcelona, Spain!! Brian will studying at the IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) in October to receive a Master's in Advanced Architecture.

Follow DLW's travels and studies over the next year and a half on our new blog.

But first, we are off to Serifos, Greece to get married!!!
